Affiliate Disclosure
Some links on this site pay us. This page tells you exactly which ones, and what that does and does not change about what we recommend.
What an affiliate link is
An affiliate link is a normal link to a shop, with a small tag attached. The tag says the visitor came from AndroidScroll. If you tap it and buy something, the shop sends us a small fee. That fee comes out of the shop's pocket, not yours. You pay exactly the same price you would pay by finding the same product yourself.
That is the whole arrangement. No hidden markup, no inflated prices, no charge that appears anywhere because you read this site first.
You do not have to use our links. Nothing on AndroidScroll is locked behind them, and every guide works the same when you buy through us as it does when you walk into a store.
Who we earn from
We only link to programmes we have actually joined. Most of our links come from the shops and makers below. If we have not signed up with a brand, we do not pretend the link pays us.
Shops and platforms
- Amazon Associates for phones, chargers, cables, and general accessories.
- ShareASale, the network behind our Anker charger and power bank links.
- FlexOffers, which carries our OtterBox case links.
- Partnerize, which handles Google Play app links.
- CJ Affiliate, which carries our Bitdefender antivirus links and part of the NordVPN programme.
Security and privacy software
- Surfshark, ExpressVPN, and NordVPN for VPN guides and comparisons.
- 1Password for password manager posts.
- Bitdefender for antivirus reviews.
- Qustodio for parental control guides.
Everything else
- DJI for gimbal and creator gear posts.
- Tenorshare and Dr.Fone for data recovery software.
Some of these pay us a percentage of the sale. Some pay a flat amount per purchase, per install, or per subscription. The rate never changes what we write.
Commission does not buy a verdict
A fee cannot turn a weak product into a recommendation. Here is what that means in practice, not as a slogan.
If two products are close, we pick the one that suits the reader, not the one that pays better. If the higher paying option loses, we say so and name the winner anyway. If a product we earn from has a real problem, the problem goes in the post, in plain words, above the part where you might buy it.
We also tell you when the paid pick is not right for you. A premium VPN earns us more than a free one, and we still point readers who only need occasional protection at the free route. That costs us money. It is the correct advice.
When we get a pick wrong, the page gets fixed and the change is visible to anyone reading it. You can hold us to that.
How we mark affiliate content
Two simple rules cover every page.
Links. Every affiliate link we publish will carry rel="sponsored" in the page code. That tag tells search engines the link is paid, and it is the honest label for what the link is. Regular links to sources we do not earn from do not carry it.
Pages. Any post built around affiliate links opens with a short line stating that the post contains them, pointing back here. That line sits near the top, before the recommendations, so you know what you are reading before you read it. You never have to scroll to the bottom to find out.
This page itself sits in the footer of every page on the site, so the full explanation is never more than one tap away.
What we do not do
- We do not rank a product higher because it pays more.
- We do not hide that a link is paid.
- We do not write around a genuine flaw in a product we earn from.
- We do not sell reviews, placements, or verdicts to any brand.
- We do not add a network to this page that we have not joined.
Ask us about it
If any link on this site looks off to you, or you want to know whether a specific link pays us, ask. Send it through the Contact page and we will answer plainly. The same page handles corrections, so if a fee influenced something in a way it should not have, we want to hear it from you directly.
