Privacy Policy

AndroidScroll lives at https://androidscroll.com. This page says what we collect, why we collect it, and what rights you hold. Short version: we run our own analytics with no cookies, we show no ads today, and you can reach us at contact@androidscroll.com.

1. What we collect

Comments

When you leave a comment, we keep what you typed: your name, your email address, and your words. We also keep your IP address and browser details to block spam. Your email never shows in public.

Comments run on our own comment service, hosted on Cloudflare Workers. Cloudflare stores the comment data for us and filters spam. Readers show with a plain monogram next to their name. We pull no profile photos from outside services.

Email you send us

If you write to contact@androidscroll.com or message us on social media, we see your name, your address, and what you wrote. We use it only to answer you.

Newsletter (paused)

Our newsletter is paused. No signup form runs on this site today, so we collect no new subscribers. If you joined before the pause, your name and email stay with our email provider, MailerLite, and every email we ever send carries an unsubscribe link.

2. Analytics (Matomo only)

We measure visits with Matomo, free software that runs on our own server. No part of your visit is sent to Google or to any ad network. Nobody outside this site can read these numbers, not even the makers of Matomo.

Matomo sets no cookies here. No analytics cookies land on your phone.

What we count

  • Pages you open and time on each page
  • The site or search that sent you
  • Browser, phone type, and system version
  • Rough place (country and city)

Your full IP address is never stored. It is cut short the moment it arrives, so it cannot point to you. With no cookies, nothing stays on your phone.

How long we keep it

Every analytics record is wiped for good after 24 months.

Opt out

Since analytics sets no cookies and stores no personal data, there is nothing to consent to. If you still want your visits left out, uncheck the box below. Your choice stays in your own browser storage and holds on every visit.

You can also switch on Do Not Track in your browser. This site honors it.

3. Ads and cookies

Some links to shops such as Amazon, Jumia, and Konga earn us a small fee if you buy. The shop sets its own cookie to note that you came from us, and pays us from its own pocket. You pay the same price with or without our link.

Fees never shape what we write. A fee cannot turn a bad pick into a good one.

Ads (switched off)

No ads run on this site today, so no ad cookies are set. If ads ever return, this page will name them before they load. The full cookie list lives on our Cookie Policy page. You can set your ad choices any time at Google Ad Settings or aboutads.info.

4. Your rights

Wherever you live, you can:

  • Ask what personal data we hold about you
  • Fix data that is wrong
  • Delete your data
  • Pull back consent for anything consent-based (such as the newsletter)
  • Object to how we use your data, in some cases

EU readers (GDPR): the rights above are yours under the General Data Protection Regulation. Our analytics sets no cookies and stores no personal data, so it needs no consent. For comments and the newsletter, our basis is your consent or our need to run the site and answer you.

California readers (CCPA): you can ask what personal data we collected about you, and ask us to delete it.

To use any of these rights, write to contact@androidscroll.com.

Comment removal: write to us and we will wipe your comment and its data for good.

5. Outside services

This page covers only AndroidScroll. Shops, Google (if ads ever return), MailerLite, and Cloudflare run under their own policies. Cloudflare carries our pages, blocks attacks, and hosts our comment service. It sees raw traffic data in the course of that work.

We do not run Google Analytics, and we do not run Cloudflare Analytics.

6. Children

This site is not for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you think a child gave us personal data, write to contact@androidscroll.com and we will delete it fast.

7. Changes to this page

When this page changes, the date at the top changes with it. Staying on the site never counts as signing a new term. Check back when you like.
